Back to School With Baby Pickel

I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, I was always so excited when school was about to start up again. Going shopping for school supplies were always a fun time for me.  New pens, new markers in fun colors, new highlighters, new binders and folders, and a new backpack!! There were always so many different options. Growing up, I was always so blessed that I did not have to worry about not being able to get all of my school supplies – or begging Momma to get the My Little Pony backpack!

Unfortunately, not every parent is able to purchase the school supplies that there children NEED.  There are a multitude of families who are unable to afford their childrens’ necessities – whether it be clothing, food and all the other important things many of us take for granted.  On top of all,  add school supplies to that list – it adds up quickly!

We here at Baby Pickel are receiving a number of requests from Momma’s in need requesting school supplies for their kiddies.

Now there is only so much we can do!

And that’s where YOU come in!!!

We’re here to help you HELP others!

Flagler County schools start up in about a month.  We are going to start our new annual “Back to School With Baby Pickel” so we can make it easier for families who might be in a jam.  Now just because you don’t live in Flagler County – don’t worry!  We want to help you too – and we will!!

The next time you go to shopping, please keep in mind this “Back to School With Baby Pickel” program can use pens, pencils, paper, folders, erasers, scissors, glue, markers, etc. Don’t worry about purchasing every item from the list – anything will help us to bless children in need!!

Right now, we have a drop off location at the Anytime Fitness Gym in Palm Coast (across from the Golden Corral and diagonal to Lowes – all behind Wal-Mart.)  Which is SO perfect – after you go shopping at Wal-Mart you can drop off the supplies right away at Anytime Fitness! We will be setting up additional locations so stay posted!

Just in case you are not familiar with the area, the address is: 260 Cypress Edge Drive, Suite 106, Palm Coast, FL  32164.  Their Staffed Hours are: Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm; Saturday, 10am-4pm; and Sunday 12pm-4pm.

If you have any “large” donations (now we’re talking items that wouldn’t fit in a medium size box) please e-mail love4moms@live.com so we can arrange an alternate donation spot.

Besides thanking God every minute of the day for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon our lives…we need to thank ALL of YOU!!!  We thank you for, most importantly, reading our blog (and facebook!) and keeping tabs on what we are doing.  We thank you for donating clothes, toys, etc. that we are able to bless families who are in need with.

SPREAD THE WORD AND THIS STORY IN YOUR EMAILS, BLOGS, TWEETS, CARRIER PIGEONS, SNAIL MAIL, FACEBOOK, SMOKE SIGNALS!

You can get crayons 3/$1 at Publix this week! These would be great to donate! There are tons of other deals locally at Walmart, Target, and Staples. I always try to get extra to donate!
