Throwback Tuesday!

How often are we waiting for an answer to “what you should do” without having asked a question or asking for help?

Very often, I am sure.

Most of us, for some reason, feel like other people should be able to read our minds and know what we need or want.

I think it is more accurate to state that we feel like it is selfish or “bad” to ask for something – especially when it comes to helping ourselves.

I am here to tell you that it is time we give it all up to GOD!

He is the faithful one that answers prayers, comes when we seek him, and opens up doors for us when our heart is ready. No one else has that ability!

I am going to (try to) keep this post short & sweet…

This beautiful scripture is not saying that if you ask for…lets say…a bazillion dollars…He is going to give it to you. But with constant praise and prayer to our Creator, He will begin to equip you with what you might need to gain what you ask for. It won’t be easy…nothing in this life ever is! As long as your heart is pure, with good intentions, He will equip you with what you have asked for…only after He knows you are ready!

“Ask, seek, find” is also a brilliant reminder to never give up.

Short & sweet: don’t give up and be sad or upset. Give thanks and praise to God, ask for what it is you need (with a pure heart), seek your answer through Jesus, and you will find it.

Here’s to knocking on doors that will be answered prayers for you!

Much love,

Just what I needed to adjust my attitude! Although I’d add: Be careful what you ask for, God might just give it to you. I prayed for rain once as a child and ended up shucking corn, shelling green beans, and picking blueberries from dawn til dusk all summer! A blessing and lesson in one!

So very true… thanks for the reminder! It’s easy to get the “poor me-itis” sometimes, when really all we need to do is have atalk with our Lord and Savior.
